The Ko-ko-ci Chapter of the Arkansas Archeological Society will hold its meeting Wednesday, November 10 at 7pm via zoom. Guest speaker will be Dr. Paul Eubanks, Assistant Professor, Middle Tennessee State University. He will present “Licks, Springs, and Portals to the Beneath World: The Uses of Salt and Mineral Springs in the Southeastern U.S.” In this talk, Dr. Eubanks draws upon some of his recent work in Louisiana and Tennessee to discuss how salt licks and mineral springs were used in the late pre-contact Southeast.
