Arkansas has two men running in this election to represent the state in the U.S. Senate.

Since Republican Tom Cotton first took office in the U.S. Senate in 2015, he has been an advocate for military veterans such as himself, been a tough critic of China, and a supporter of law enforcement.

He's up for re-election this year with only one challenger - Libertarian Ricky Dale Harrington, Jr., who's a minister who has been on missions in Scotland and China.

He's also served as a chaplain at the Cummins Unit state prison.

KASU's Brandon Tabor had the chance to speak with both candidates in separate interviews on separate days. Cotton's conversation was over the phone, while Harrington's was conducted online via Zoom.
