A-State moves Fall graduation indoors because of rain

Arkansas State University

A-State says that this weekend's commencement ceremony will be held inside First National Bank arena because of rain.

Officials say that guests are required to wear a mask while inside and the university's clear bag policy will be in place. Guests will be able to bring in umbrellas.

Also, no outside food or drinks will be allowed, but Sodexo will provide water and hot drinks at the concession stands.

Reed Middleton of Marianna is the featured student speaker on behalf of the A-Stade graduating class. He is graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the Neil Griffin College of Business.

He served as a senator in the Student Government Association (SGA) and sponsored several resolutions, including the naming of the Red Wolf statue and is also a member of numerous Chancellor’s and Deans Lists.

The ceremony will start at 1 P.M. on Saturday, December 18 and will also be live streamed at astate.edu/livestream.
