2nd Annual Boston Mountain Pawpaw Festival & Fall Foraging Celebration

This free festival welcomes visitors of all ages to celebrate pawpaws—America’s largest native fruit, known for its sweet, custardy flavor and deep regional roots—as well as seasonal foraged foods from the Ozark woodlands.
Highlights Include:
Breakfast at the Farmers Market Pavilion (8 AM–11 AM) with fresh, locally sourced dishes
Live local music, including the return of Dreadful Day
Fall-foraging workshops & plant talks, led by herbalists from The Apothecary
Vendor fair featuring local artisans, makers, and pawpaw-inspired treats (ice cream, baked goods, jams, and more)
Cornhole tournament (register to compete – winner takes half the pot!)
The unforgettable Pawpaw Pageant—a cheeky tribute to “pawpaws” (aka grandpas), with seed-spitting, Sunday-best fashion, and three-minute wisdom speeches. One lucky grandpa will be crowned Pawpaw King!
Explore the Beard and Lady Inn’s Apothecary & gift shop, offering herbal wares, foraging tools, and locally crafted goods, or book a stay at the beautifully restored historic inn to extend your weekend adventure.
