Save the date for the 22nd Annual War Eagle Appreciation Day! War Eagle Appreciation day will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 11 am – 1 pm at the Withrow Springs State Park’s Keith Ham Pavilion in Huntsville. This free community gathering features a complimentary lunch grilled by Arvest, raffle prizes, activities for all ages, and interactive educational booths focused on conservation, wildlife, history, and tourism. We will also have live music sponsored by the William Rufus Stephens Jr. Memorial Fund, featuring a special performance by local favorite Double Wide Trailer. Ozark Folkways on Highway 71 in Winslow will host a potluck dinner and evening of traditional dancing! Starting the evening at 6:00 will be a potluck dinner, followed by Old Time Square dancing called by Steve Green, Abby Hollis, and friends. Bring a dish, entree, snack, or beverage to share. Then at 7pm dancing will start with squares and two-steps to live music. All dances are taught and beginner friendly. Partners not required. $10 admission supports the performers and the mission of Ozark Folkways.
Big Piph & Tomorrow Maybe bring an energetic blend of Hip Hop, soul, funk, and live musicianship to the Momentary Green for a summer night built on rhythm, connection, and good energy.
