The last few years he has started performing as a solo artist, writing songs and playing a variety of tunes from Americana and Country artists.
Here's why he's choosing to do Dylan on this Veterans Day to kick off Eureka Springs 75th Annual Folk Fest Weekend at Gotahold Brewing:
It is without question that Bob Dylan will go down in history as a man who changed not only the course of music but the course of history also. Many of his songs addressed the social issues of the time and many addressed the feeling and emotions that a generation was experiencing as we dealt with coming into a world that was changing faster than we were. As a young musician just starting to learn the guitar, learning the songs of Bob Dylan inspired me to want to pick up the guitar, to play songs that had meaning to me, but also were easy to learn and to play. More importantly his songs have the ability to allow the performer to interpret them in a way that makes them personal to them. His songs are a relevant today as they were 50 years ago.
