February 4 Drinks and Dialogue Gathering Welcomes Speaker Bonnie Miller

February 4 Drinks and Dialogue Gathering Welcomes Speaker Bonnie Miller

The League of Women Voters of Washington County (LWVWC) continues its Drinks and Dialogue gatherings in February. This event will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, at Crisis Brewing, 210 S. Nelson Hackett Blvd., in Fayetteville.

The guest speaker will be Bonnie Miller, president of the League of Women Voters of Arkansas. Miller is also chair of Save AR Democracy, a campaign to protect ballot initiatives in Arkansas.

In 2020, Miller led the Arkansas Voters First campaign, a proposed amendment to the Arkansas state constitution that would establish an independent redistricting commission in the state. In 2022, she led a successful campaign to defeat Issue 2, the state’s proposed amendment to require a supermajority to pass ballot measures. Miller continues to advocate for a better democracy in Arkansas and plans to begin law school in the fall.

This event is open to the public, and admission is free.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization dedicated to encouraging informed and active participation in government. The group does not endorse any candidates or political parties.
