Hugs From Friends is proud to announce they will be collaborating
with the Ukrainian community in Northwest Arkansas to host an event celebrating Ukrainian
Independence Day in Northwest Arkansas. At the event attendees will have the opportunity to
create art to show support for students at a school in western Ukraine. The event will also
feature Ukrainian cultural displays, and face painting for kids. The event will be held on
Sunday, August 28 from 4:00- 6:00pm at Park Springs Park in Bentonville, AR.

Hugs From Friends is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Bentonville, Arkansas that
encourages children in the United States to create artwork to show support for Ukrainian children
and families that have been impacted by the war. Hugs From Friends collaborates with schools,
community organizations and individuals throughout the United States to create the artwork.
The group began its work in June 2022 and has partnered with R.E. Baker Elementary School
and Old High Middle School in Bentonville, Cooper Elementary School in Bella Vista and the
