Thanks to the generous support of the @fayettevilleparksandrec Community Arts Program we are hosting a ✨fun✨,🎈 FREE🎈 and 🤯4-week🥳 long Spring In2 Circus workshop series!!
From hula hooping, juggling, to acrobatics, and more - this all ages, all levels, all fun community workshop series is guaranteed to teach you something new and (while not guaranteed BUT VERY LIKELY) make you giggle while doing it💖😋🤟🏻
Classes will take place🗓️every Thursday May 14th-June 4th⏰from 5pm-6pm🗺️ at Walker Park, between the skate park & the splash pad

Bring your family, friends and members of your communities to an open craft event. We will make miniature accordion books and fill them with personal narratives, story maps, ink, paint, collage and more. Plus, add your spark and fan the flame of community by contributing to a large accordion book art collaboration. Participants will also have the opportunity to take materials home to share Matchbook Memoirs in their own communities. All ages and skill levels are welcome and encouraged.
There’s no party like a House Party, and the Momentary is throwing an opening celebration that transforms its galleries into a playful, supermarket experience. Featuring artist Lucy Sparrow, this House Party blends retro-inspired activities, felt-based artmaking, food-centered engagement, and music-driven energy. Additional activations will connect to the work of Chuck Ramirez, in Ordinary Wonders, expanding the exhibition’s exploration of consumer-culture, food, and memory.
Make your own felt shopping buddy inspired by Lucy Sparrow: The Beginning of Convenience roller skate outside with DJ-ed 80s and 90s hits and enjoy a concert with Arnie Brenn. Plus, take an exhibition tour through The Beginning of Convenience, along with artist Lucy Sparrow!
College Shoe Shop is 50 years old this year and there’s a lot to celebrate! We are a local business that wants you to come party with us on Saturday, July 18th from 11 am- 2 pm. There will be free food, games, and tons of giveaways ranging from $25-$1,000!! The first 50 people will get a goody bag with coupons, hats, socks, koozies and more. Explore the creative world of felting and pop art in this hands-on teen studio inspired by The Beginning of Convenience by artist Lucy Sparrow, known for her imaginative felt installations that transform everyday items with humor and creativity. Led by local fiber artist Dani Ives, participants will learn both needle and wet felting techniques to craft colorful sculptures, characters, and pop art-inspired pieces.
Teens will head into the studio to design their own mini “market” environments using fiber, texture, and creativity. No prior experience is required!
