The League of Women Voters of Washington County (LWVWC) continues its Drinks and Dialogue gatherings in October. This event will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, at Crisis Brewing, 210 S. Nelson Hackett Blvd., in Fayetteville.

The guest speaker will be Irvin Camacho, a dedicated immigrant rights organizer with more than a decade of advocacy experience.

Camacho began his advocacy work in 2009. A former candidate for State Representative in Springdale, he continues to be a leading voice for equity and justice in Arkansas. He serves on the board of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Arkansas and is the co-founder of the Alliance for Immigrant Respect and Education (AIRE), a grassroots immigrant rights organization committed to empowering immigrant communities through education and civic engagement.

This event is open to the public, and admission is free.
