The Arkansas Arts Council is proud to announce ArtLinks 2025: Innovation Through Partnership, the three-day statewide arts conference!

Join us October 7-9, 2025, at Mosaic Templars Cultural Center for a celebration of the arts. The conference will provide educational opportunities for the creative community statewide, and the opportunity to learn about innovative arts initiatives and arts programs from skilled professionals. Are you ready for a trip to Italy, or simply interested in learning about the country’s language and customs? Join Dr. Ryan CalabrettaSajder, Associate Professor of Italian at the University of Arkansas, for a 6-week journey filled with essential phrases and travel tips. This course will cover a variety of topics, including preparing for your trip, salutations, navigating the airport, ordering food and drinks, shopping, traveling within Italy, and ensuring your safety. Get ready to embark on this exciting adventure!

The Machine Behind the Art: Inside JR’s Printing Press is one of JR’s most extensive immersive and experiential works to date. After taking portraits in one of three individual photo booths, visitors enter the interior of an oversized, whirring printing press – turning their image into a tangible work of art while offering a glimpse into the creative process of JR. After the experience, visitors leave with their own, one-of-a-kind print.

Whether you grew up with these sounds or are discovering them for the first time, come enjoy great conversation, toe-tapping tunes, and a deeper appreciation for the
music that changed the world.

Love jewelry? Learn to create your own in this fun, hands-on beading class! Whether you’re drawn to bold statement pieces or delicate designs, this beginner-friendly workshop will teach you the essential techniques of beading—from stringing to finishing. You’ll craft bracelets, necklaces, and earrings in colors and styles that match your wardrobe and personality. Participants will receive expert instruction and personalized guidance from Suzie Jenkins, a beaded jewelry designer. All materials will be provided—including a wide variety of beads and finishings—so you can focus on learning and creating. This small-group setting makes
it easy to ask questions, get inspired by others, and leave with handmade jewelry and new skills. Warning: many students get hooked on beading after just one class—don’t be surprised if you do too! All materials, as well as lunch, are provided and covered in your class fee.

: As we age, maintaining
a healthy diet becomes essential to preserving vitality, preventing illness, and enhancing overall well-being. In this program, Dr.
Tina Maddox Stevens will guide participants
through the transformative power of nutrition
for older adults. The program focuses on how
dietary needs change over time and how a
balanced, nutrient-rich diet can help manage
chronic conditions, improve energy, and support mental clarity. Topics will include understanding age-related changes in metabolism,
making smart food choices, combating common nutritional deficiencies, and the link between diet and cognitive health. This program
is designed for older adults who want to take
control of their health and wellness through
the foods they eat, offering practical, easy-toimplement strategies to age well and thrive.

"Teresa Pelliccio underwent a significant mind-shift in 2004 after reading The Power of Now and began a meditation practice. Shortly thereafter, she began experiencing conscious, otherworldly “trips” during her sleep. To understand and process these experiences, she turned to art. Her art forms are born from personal associations and blend spirituality, the metaphysical, intuition, self-empowerment and rebellion with femininity, whimsy and impulse. It is her wish that her work might inspire you to consider what may lie beyond the physical and encourage you to explore it. And, to love and support yourself fully as you do. 
Hilka Irvin is a Minnesota native who made Eureka Springs her home in 2014. A self-taught artist, she works in various mediums—oils, acrylics, and watercolor—each reflective of her mindset. In addition to visual art, she writes poetry and short stories to fulfill her creative soul. Her work is often described as eclectic, as she creates instinctively rather than adhering to expectations. Hilka thrives on stepping outside her comfort zone and expresses herself through art and writing that continues to evolve.
RIGDON IRVIN has always thought of art as a history of humankind. His art is very much influenced by the fact that he is a child of the 70’s. He was introduced to all kinds of music, art and various aspects of the counter culture at an early age, by older siblings, who were coming of age during that time. He loves color and watching it explode on the canvas, incorporating the architectural lines of the mid century, as well as the atomic themes of the space age. Being an abstract artist allows him the freedom to create art from “an anything goes” mindset. "
