March 24, 2020 2:50 p.m. -- Washington County Sheriff Tests Negative for Coronavirus
In a post on theWashington County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, Sheriff Tim Helder announced that he has tested negative for COVID-19 after his son had tested positive earlier in the week. Helder said he never came in contact with his son, but self-quarantined and was tested out of an abundance of caution.

In his daily briefing, Gov. Asa Hutchinson confirmed the first two deaths related to COVID-19 in the state. The total number of positive cases in Arkansas is now 218.
