State Heritage Department To Take Over State History Commission

The Third Extraordinary Session of the Arkansas Legislature, last month, decided to transfer the Arkansas History Commission to the Arkansas Department of Heritage. The move is part of a broad effort to make state government more efficient. But certain historians are not happy.
