A World War II Hero Who Became Lieutenant Governor

U.S. Navy

Nathan Gordon was Arkansas's lieutenant governor for 20 years, but prior to that, he had received the Medal of Honor for rescuing crews from several downed airplanes during World War II. Today, he's the subject of a profile by Randy Dixon from the David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History.

Kyle Kellams is KUAF's news director and host of Ozarks at Large.
