Exploring the World of Conspiracy Theories

In 2020, QAnon, a once fringe phenomenon, went mainstream with supporters flooding social media with false information about COVID-19, the Black Lives Matter protests and the presidential election, and recruited legions of new believers to their ranks.";s

Next semester, a Signature Seminar in the University of Arkansas Honors College will focus on conspiracy theories and their origins and effects. Tuesday night, Ryan Neville-Shepard, an assistant professor of communication at the U of A, will lead a preview lecture about his upcoming seminar.
