State Historian John L. Ferguson signs a contract for construction of a bicentennial memorial at the Arkansas State Capitol in 1976.

This week's trip through archives at the David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History reintroduces us to John L. Ferguson, who served as the Arkansas state historian for 45 years.
