Navigating the Arkansas River

The McClellan-Kerr Navigation System extends for 445 miles and changed how the Arkansas River is used in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Randy Dixon, with the David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History, explains how it was developed, using archives from the Pryor Center to tell the story.
