Hazel Walker, who was raised near Ashdown, Ark., was a driving force in amateur basketball in the early half of the 20th Century. From 1945 to 1965, she led Hazel Walker's Arkansas Travelers, competing against men's teams from across the country and winning more than eighty percent of those barnstorm games. We speak with Gary Newton, who has written a book and a screenplay about Walker's career.
