Arkansas Redirects Medical Marijuana Tax Funds

A 4% privilege tax on medical marijuana that originally went to fund cancer research in Arkansas, will now go toward medical residency programs and food insecurity. The Arkansas Legislature also approved $100 million in reserve funds to help UAMS pursue a designation from the National Cancer Institute.
