Former Arkansas Governor, Jim Guy Tucker, dies at 81

Jim Guy Tucker, the 43rd governor of Arkansas has died at the age of 81.

During his life, Tucker covered the Vietnam War as a journalist and served as Arkansas’ Attorney General and in the United States House of Representatives. He was also one of the founders of the American Civil Liberties Union in Arkansas.

Tucker resigned as governor in 1996 after he was convicted of crimes connected to the Whitewater scandal.
