The Arkansas Razorbacks baseball squad is heading to Omaha to begin their first weekend of play in the Men’s College World Series. For those planning on making the 6 hour drive and looking for things to do when the Razorbacks aren’t on the field, we have you covered. Ozarks at Large's Omaha correspondent Ryan Sisk brings us these recommendations:

Bars

  • Rocco’s Pizza and Cantina – Near the stadium; famous for its College World Series Jello Shot count tradition
  • Fizzy’s Fountain & Liquors – Little Bohemia neighborhood; retro diner-style bar with boozy shakes and cheeseburgers
  • Beercade 2 – Little Bohemia neighborhood; adult arcade bar with a large selection of craft beers

Restaurants

  • Yoshitomo – Benson ; Japanese sushi restaurant run by a James Beard-nominated chef
  • Au Courant – Benson neighborhood; modern European restaurant offering small plates

Things to Do

  • Joslyn Art Museum – Downtown; free art museum featuring 12,000+ works spanning 5,000 years
  • Kiewit Luminarium – Downtown; interactive science museum with rotating exhibits, great for all ages
  • The RiverFront – Downtown; interconnected trio of public parks with trails, green space, and views of the Missouri River
