NWA Black Heritage describes Juneteenth Rhythms of Resilience as a festive march and cookout that lasts from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 22. The march begins at the intersection of North Willow Avenue and East Spring Street and will conclude with the cookout at Walker Park. The event is part of an NWA Black Heritage portfolio that includes efforts to create the state's largest Black Historic District, preserve East Mountain Cemetery and document the history of Black communities and schools.
Sharon Killian, the president of NWA Black Heritage, spoke with Ozarks at Large's Kyle Kellams about the event.
