On World Refugee Day 2025, agencies worry about state of U.S. resettlement

Today is World Refugee Day, and while the number of refugees worldwide is at a peak of 123 million people, according to the United Nations, the United States has shut off nearly all resettlement efforts under the Trump Administration.

We hear from Krish O'Mara Vignarajah, president and CEO of the national agency Global Refuge and Joanna Krause, the executive director of their local partner Canopy of Northwest Arkansas, about the state of refugee resettlement today.
