BTH: WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational's Memphis Impact

Memphis will host the World Golf Championship – FedEx St. Jude Invitational game at Southwind golf course July 24-28. Five of the top-ten golf players have committed to the game, including Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia.Executive Director Darrell Smith joins this week’s WKNO-TV Behind the Headlines show, with the Daily Memphian's Geoff Calkins and host Eric Barnes, to talk about the FedEx St. Jude Invitational game. Smith says that the tournament is a big deal for Memphis. It comes with incentives that bring players to the game, like guaranteed money and the winner taking home almost $2 million. In addition, Smith says it should have a sizable impact on the City of Memphis as world-renowned golf players, their fans, and over 300 media members converge for a week of golfing. https://youtu.be/5gIvurXHFvA Listen to the audio version of "Behind the Headlines," broadcast on June 28, 2019
