KUAF Arts Beat: Newsflash September 20, 2018

Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week returns today with its fall shows beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Drake Field in Fayetteville and runs through Saturday night. The semi-annual event includes work from more than a dozen regional and national designers and includes a student designer showcase. 

The Fayetteville Film Festival also starts this afternoon and runs through Saturday. The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a red carpet and an opening night street party on Center Avenue in downtown Fayetteville. Films screen at Stage Eighteen, the UA Global Campus and the Pryor Center

The Frank Stanford Literary Festival takes place this weekend, Friday through Sunday at various locations in Fayetteville including Saint Paul's Episcopal Church and Nightbird Books. The festival celebrates the Arkansas poet's life and work along with fellow poet and Lost Roads co-founder C.D. Wright. The series of tributes, readings and panel discussions. It is free and open to the public.
