As Coler’s only fundraiser, Noon2Moon is your chance to support the Preserve and all the amazing people that make it the best mountain biking destination in the country! Bring the whole family to Packet Pick-Up happening 2:00 PM-7:00 PM on Friday, May 3rd. Racers will have the opportunity to pre-ride the Noon2Moon course. Kids are welcome to drop in for a short Kids Camp experience or Kids Race hosted by our partners at Pedal Kids USA.

One day only. Gift-wrapped new and gently used books for sale just in time for Mother's Day and graduation. Includes coffee-table books, children's, new fiction, history, art, cookbooks. Starts at 9am in the Fayetteville Public Library lobby beside main reception desk.
The most beautifully wrapped books go very quickly. Proceeds benefit FPL community programs.

Celebrate National Music Week! Southern Strings will present a free music program May 10 at The Plaza, Bella Vista AR at 4:00 p.m. Southern Strings is a unique group of musicians playing mountain dulcimers, hammered dulcimer, harps, psalteries, violins, acoustic guitar, and banjo. They play gospel, folk, traditional and mountain music in which the audience can sing along. National Music Week is in its 101st year and sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs along with its local affiliates, Andante Music Club of Bella Vista and MAPS - NWA Music, Art, and Poetry Students. It recognizes the importance of music in the life of our nation and invites all “friends of music” to participate in this great week of celebration.

Lisa Ferguson will play folk music on hammered dulcimer. A poem, written by a resident poet, celebrating the National Music Week theme “Music…Yours, Mine and Ours” will be read. Enjoy guitar music to drum therapy music all at one venue. We are retired school personnel that meets monthly September - May at a local restaurant. This year we meet @ Golden Corral, Fayetteville. After the meal there is a brief program of local interest. As a group we also collect children's books and non-perishables to support our community. We charge a yearly fee of $20 yearly membership that contributes to spring and fall scholarships of Washington County High School students pursuing a career in the teaching profession. The scholarship is $1500, awarded to a person having completed the sophomore year of college or university. We've awarded scholarships since we first organized in 1973.

Buy your spring plants from an expert that helped to start them.On Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18, thousands of plants ranging from vegetable starts to house plants along with lots of flowers, native plants, shrubs and trees will be on sale on the grounds of the First United Methodist Church, located just off the square at 201 NW 2nd Street Bentonville, AR 72712.This year, the plant sale will include an Expo with local experts speaking informally on all kinds of garden topics. There is also the popular “All Things Garden” booth with gently used tools, equipment, pots and décor available. The event is an important fundraiser for the Benton County Master Gardener Program and funds scholarships for local students as well as projects all around the county. Master Gardeners are volunteers who share their knowledge of gardening as well as the vegetables they grow.
