Start your day at Drop-In Artmaking in Studios Durand and Estes, where you can experiment with cardboard creations inspired by Hector Dionicio Mendoza’s Coyota/e. Then, stop by our Art Cart from 1–4 pm to learn more about the artwork and artist, or settle into our cozy Community Lounge for a bilingual story time with Lost Nopales Productions.

Have a passion for fashion? Join Rulli Torres, Founder and CEO of Bentonville Fashion Week, for a special gallery tour through Crystal Bridges. Rulli will explore works from the collection that inspire his creative eye and share how art, color, and storytelling shape his approach to design. Rooted in his heritage from Guanajuato, Mexico, Rulli brings his passion for culture, language, and community into every space he creates—on and off the runway.

Lost Nopales Productions advocates for social change by creating ensemble-made, multi-disciplinary performances that uplift and unite underrepresented communities throughout Northwest Arkansas.

Joplin Chapter of the NAACP's Annual Freedom Fund Banquet fundraiser. This year's banquet will be a Jazz Brunch style affair. The room will be lit with glowing blacklights, setting the scene for a playful, color-coded way to connect. Guests are invited to wear a color that signals what they are seeking: whether it’s romance, friendship, or a little mystery. Add a little glow, grab a spooky cocktail, hit the dance floor, and let the music, costumes, and atmosphere bring the night to life.

RD holds secular, science-based addiction recovery support groups every Monday. We are LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent led/friendly. Harm reduction approaches welcomed. Sober curious folks are welcomed. Anyone questioning their relationship to substances is welcomed. No student observers, please.

On Wednesday, October 14, survivors, advocates, and legal experts will gather at TheatreSquared in Fayetteville for Justice in the Age of AI: A Survivor Open Mic and Community Information Sharing Event.

AI has changed how sexual abuse happens online, from deepfakes to images shared without consent. This free, sober event gives survivors a microphone, explains what Arkansas's new legal protections mean for them, and covers digital safety. Speakers include Danielle Green, Samantha McCoy, Susanna Gibson, Leah Juliett, Lennon Torres, Vivian Dong, Brooke Istook, and more.

In this course we'll explore one of the most challenging parts of the human figure: the hands. We'll break it down to the elements of expression, simple volumes, proper construction, and historical view through the ages. We'll use our own hands as models and analyze Great Master works.

ACRE x ACRE 5TH ANNIVERSARY: Northwest Arkansas Land Trust's Annual Conservation Celebration
Join Northwest Arkansas Land Trust for ACRE x ACRE, its signature annual fundraiser and celebration of conservation in the Ozarks. Held on the scenic north slope of Kessler Mountain at the Historic Ozark Mountain Smokehouse, the evening features live music from March to August, food from Rudy's BBQ, local craft beverages, a silent auction, and recognition of outstanding conservation leaders. Proceeds support Northwest Arkansas Land Trust's efforts to protect natural spaces, clean water, wildlife habitat, and outdoor recreation opportunities across the region.

This symposium invites artists, curators, and educators to engage in a critical dialogue on the shifting paradigms of Indigenous art, drawing on national and international perspectives and anchored by the recent reinstallation and expansion of Crystal Bridges.

Over two days, speakers will examine how museum "re-envisionings" of American art history can move toward a radical centering of Indigenous sovereignty, materiality, and artistic expression across time. By nesting the museum’s current curatorial strategies in conversation with the national and global Indigenous art landscape, the program seeks to explore connections between curatorial frameworks, arts education, and broader museum practices. Panelists, including leading artists, curators, and scholars, will explore how these evolving arts frameworks impact the present and future of Native art.
