We are retired school personnel that meets monthly September - May at a local restaurant. This year we meet @ Golden Corral, Fayetteville. After the meal there is a brief program of local interest. As a group we also collect children's books and non-perishables to support our community. We charge a yearly fee of $20 yearly membership that contributes to spring and fall scholarships of Washington County High School students pursuing a career in the teaching profession. The scholarship is $1500, awarded to a person having completed the sophomore year of college or university. We've awarded scholarships since we first organized in 1973.
