For the past five years, the annual 1 Million Meals food program has provided more than 7.8 million meals for food banks and organizations in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. This year, the effort is being conducted in the spring rather than fall because food banks have expressed increased need for food in the summer when children are out of school.
