Event Raises Awareness of Tick-Borne Illness

Alpha Gal Encouragers NW Arkansas is a support group for people dealing with Alpha Gal Syndrome, an allergic reaction to meat caused by a lone star tick bite. The organization will host a community awareness event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Fayetteville Farmers Market.
