Rhae Lynn Barnes, a professor of history at Princeton University, was recently on the University of Arkansas campus to discuss the history of blackface. She has explored the topic in her book Darkology: The Hidden History of Amateur Blackface Minstrelsy and the Making of Modern America, 1860-1970.
