UAMS to Study Postpartum Care in Arkansas

A research team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has been approved for a five-year, $15 million funding award to study the best mechanisms for postpartum follow up with new mothers to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences will use a grant to study better ways to make sure new mothers in Arkansas have access to pospartum care.
