Arkansas Children's Research Institute receives grant to study childhood asthma

The National Institute of Health awarded more than $660,000 to a scientist with Arkansas Children’s Research Institute and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences to combat the challenges of childhood asthma. Dr. Akilah Jefferson will use the four-year award to study how factors like home environment, access to healthcare and quality of life play a role in diagnosis and treatment.
