Black History Month programming on KUAF3 next month.

Coming up in February, KUAF will offer a series of Black History Month specials on KUAF3. Each Friday in February, tune to KUAF3 at 6pm to hear these specials. We'll begin the series on Friday, February 5th with "King's Last March" produced by American RadioWorks. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968. Four decades later, King remains one of the most vivid symbols of hope for racial unity in America. But that’s not the way he was viewed in the last year of his life. Tune in for this compelling hour of radio next Friday night at 6pm for that. Other programs will deal with jazz and Civil Rights, how Dr. King used the media at the time to further the Civil Rights cause...plus, specials featuring Odetta and Sister Rosetta Tharp.
