Book Synopsis:
Newspaper columnist Selby Coates plans to spend his retirement watching vintage sci-fi and horror flicks with his one-eyed cat Pancake and having an occasional drink with friends. Then he gets struck down by the Number Seven midtown bus. Halfway through Selby’s final heartbeat, a mysterious woman called Laylah brings him back from the edge of death. Selby soon learns that this strange person has saved his life so he can serve as her pawn in a conflict with her equally uncanny sister, Doma. Who — or what — are Laylah and Doma, and what do they have to do with Selby's father, who disappeared more than fifty years ago? What secrets from Selby's past threaten to destroy his future?
With the help of friends like glamorous bartender Royal Freeborn, schoolteacher Barry Ratliffe, and the sinister exile Colonel Cabrera-López, Selby intends to find out, even if it kills him. Again.

Since the late 1990s, KAWS has been creating a cast of iconic characters steeped in the American zeitgeist that populate his work. Each with their own distinct personality pulled in part from their creator, these characters have been a constant throughline in the artist’s career. The exhibition takes its title and thematic jumping-off point from the sculpture titled FAMILY (2021), which brings together four of KAWS’ characters posed in the style of a family portrait. As witnessed throughout the show, the relationships between the figures can be complex, familiar, and astonishingly heartfelt entryways into human emotions.

Join Cocoon Yoga Lab for a unique sound journey that will guide you into a deep state of relaxation and inner peace. This Sunday Reset is designed to provide you with a transformative experience that resets both body and mind. Led by Tammy Mores, founder of Cocoon Yoga Lab and a seasoned sound healer, this session offers a powerful opportunity to disconnect from the busyness of daily life and reconnect with your inner calm.
Through the healing vibrations of crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other carefully selected instruments, Tammy will guide you from an active, cluttered mind into a deeply meditative state. As you settle into the sound bath, the harmonious tones will help release tension, clear mental fog, and activate your body’s natural healing processes. The journey will gently ease you into a state of deep relaxation, promoting balance, well-being, and a sense of renewal.
This sound bath experience is not just about relaxation; it’s a journey from the “monkey mind”—the constant chatter of thoughts—into profound stillness. Tammy will use breathwork, guided visualization, and the transformative power of sound to lead you inward, creating an immersive environment that allows for deep healing and peace. Whether you’re new to sound therapy or an experienced practitioner, this session is designed to leave you feeling deeply relaxed, restored, and aligned.
