Mar 07 Saturday
This is a family, wallet-friendly event held on the spacious acreage of Springfield Ranch in downtown Cane Hill. There is a hospitality tent where food can be purchased (benefiting the Friends of Prairie Grove Pound) or people are welcome to bring picnic lunches. Buy your kites here, you will not find a better selection of price. The 50 cent raffle (so called because each person may only purchase one fifty cent ticket) gives away a large nylon kite at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 (must be present to win). In addition there are numerous small prizes awarded during the day for tongue-in-cheek categories. After the 2:00 drawing there is contest for kids only to guess how many armadillo holes we had to fill in to make the flying area safe. Fun is guaranteed! In case of rain or snow there is a fall back date of March 14. Like us on Facebook and see pictures from years past and updates.
