Just as Rachmaninov before her, pianist and composer Gabriela Montero is an expatriate, torn away from her homeland of Venezuela. In her new release she splendidly performs Rachmaninov's 2nd piano concerto. Catch her performance with the YOA Orchestra of the Americas on Thursday's program.
