New Old Music Takes Center Stage in KUAF Fulbright Chamber Concerts

This year's KUAF Fulbright Chamber Music Festival kicks off its three concert season June 9. Ahead of this year's three concerts season I talked to festival organizers about the repertoire.

"They are very much established really legendary composers in their own right," explains Ryan Cockerham, violinist in this year's festival. "This is classic music--music that was written in the early 20th century. But, in a way, it's new because none of these pieces have been performed in this area before. So it is a concert of new music, but new music that is older." Find out more in my interview with festival organizer Er-Gene Kahng and Cockerham streaming in its entirety below.
