Of Note for Sun., Aug. 14, 2016: A Symphony That Inspired a Large Donation from Taylor Swift

I'm keeping the #SundaySymphony tradition alive with full symphonic works including one that inspired pop star Taylor Swift to donate $50,000 to the Seattle Symphony. The work that inspired such giving was John Luther Adams's one movement piece "Become Ocean." Hear it from the Seattle Symphony under Ludovic Morlot, plus a jazzy piece from Leonard Bernstein called "On The Town (Three Dance Episodes) and Cesar Franck's symphonic poem Redemption. That's all coming up from 8 to 10 p.m. here on KUAF or streaming on demand right here.
