A Cellist & Pianist Return To Classical Roots In New Duo

Katy Henriksen

A house party first brought cellist Christian Davis Serrano-Torres and pianist Sophia-Odelia Bauer together, as they bonded over a mutual interest in returning to their classical music roots.

Although she keeps busy as a fashion photographer and videographer and he as a member of indie rock group Rosenbridge, they both longed to tackle lush romantic works from the likes of Faure, Rachmaninov and Schumann.

The duo makes their first public appearance this Friday at NWA Fashion Week's benefit eventBlack Out Affair at newly opened Stage 18. Ahead of the performance Serrano-Torres and Bauer stop by the Firmin-Garner Performance Studio.
