This Sunday at sunset marks the beginning of Shavuot, which commemorates revelation of the Torah on Mt. Sinai to the Jewish people. Observants prepare for the two-day holiday seven weeks in advance with special prayers and blessings. We visit with Rabbi Emeritus Jacob Adler about the origins of Shavuot, and its profound relevance.
