Delta Variant Surge Slows State's Economic Recovery

As COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to rise in Arkansas, businesses and workers are once again reconsidering plans to return to business as usual. Mervin Jebaraj with the Univeristy of Arkansas Center for Business and Economic Research says leisure, hospitality and travel are the most vulnerable industries. He also says the possibilty of outbreaks in schools could have a major impact on unemplyment rates.
