A First-Ever Collaboration for Two Great Musicians

Guitarist Virginia Luque and vocalist Jubilant Sykes have admired each other's work for years. This week, for the first time, they are performing together. The will be at Butterfield Trail Village Sunday at 3 p.m.

  • This week 60% of Buddy Shute and the Motivators (Buddy along with Brenda and Steve Baskin) came to the Firmin-Garner Performance Studio. Their CD, "You Gotta Move" is the Ozark Blues Society of Northwest Arkansas' selection to represent the region in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Buddy and others will be playing at the Meteor Guitar Gallery tomorrow night in support of sending this year's OBS artist reps, Downtown Livewires, to Memphis.

  • The duo Brick Fields plays almost every Wednesday night at Morano's in Fayetteville with their band Blues Therapy. On Wednesday Dec. 21, they take their 10th anniversary Blues Therapy concert to the Fayetteville Public Library.
