Arkansas Poison Control Seeing Rise in Teen and Pediatric Overdoses

Since 2005, incidents of overdose among those 13 to 19 rose by 300 percent. For those 12 and under, cases were up by 800 percent.

Since 2005, incidents of overdose among those 13 to 19 rose by 300 percent. For those 12 and under, cases were up by 800 percent.

The Arkansas Poison and Drug Information Center is warning of an alarming uptick in drug overdoses among minors. An official with the statewide resource center says online misinformation and social media present new challenges for drug and medication safety.
