80 guardsmen deployed from Fort Chaffee in Fort Smith to the US-Mexico border this week.

Eighty Arkansas National Guard troops have been deployed to Texas for a 30-day mission along the U.S. - Mexico border. Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, mobilized the troops - along with 13 other republican governors - after a plea from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott. According to numbers from the Department of Homeland Security, border crossings declined more than 70% since May.
