Music City USA is celebrating Arkansas-born composer Florence Price with a series of concerts and talks. Doug Shaddell is an associate professor of musicology at Vanderbilt University, a researcher of Price’s life and music, and an organizer of this month’s commemoration. He said part of the celebration is an expansion of how we view the Little Rock-born composer.
