National Weather Service confirms EF1 tornado in west Fayetteville

The National Weather Service confirmed an EF1 tornado touched down in west Fayetteville on April 19. The EF1 classification indicates wind speeds between 100 to 110 mph. Houses in west Fayetteville sustained damage, including torn and destroyed roofs. According to the National Weather Service, there have been at least 33 tornadoes in Arkansas so far in 2025. There were 52 confirmed tornadoes in the state in 2024.
