Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives voted by a slim majority for H.R. 4, a bill to rescind spending previously approved by Congress that would provide foreign aid and fund public media. One of those to vote in favor of rescission was Rep. French Hill, a Republican of Little Rock.
In an interview with Talk Business and Politics on Friday, Rep. Hill said if H.R. 4 passed in the Senate, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting would go back before Congress for a new appropriations hearing.
Rep. Hill also discussed the recent rise in the Israel-Iran conflict. He says he thinks there is a risk for the U.S. because of its relationship to Israel, but Israel has a right to defend itself.
