Community Spotlight: NAACP Equality Now 5K

The BIPOC community has a higher rate of chronic disease, pregnancy-related deaths, infant mortality rates, mental health issues and more compared to the rates among white individuals, according to NWA NAACP.

Pete Hartman speaks with Dr. Coby Davis from the NWA NAACP about its' second annual Equality Now 5K at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 13 at Veterans Memorial Park in Fayetteville. The Fun Run and Health Fair's goal is to raise awareness about health disparities, provide resources, and promote wellness for BIPOC people.
