KUAF Community SpotlightArts Live Theatre is gearing up for fall! Classes are available for ages 4 through 18 with productions like ‘The Wizarding Way’, ‘Magic School Bus on the Road’, a ‘Ten Minute Play Production’ class, and ‘Podcast Theatre’. Classes begin the week of September 18th and run for 8 weeks. Teaching artists are theatre professionals and educators. For more information or to register, visit the Arts Live Theatre website. KUAF Community SpotlightThe Center for Arkansas Farms and Foods will hold a fundraising event 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, to support the Farmers for Tomorrow fund, a program to help aspiring farmers start their small farm businesses. The event will be at the Milo J. Shult Agricultural Research and Extension Center, at 1005 W. Meade St., in Fayetteville. CAFF is a part of the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station, the research branch of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture. Pete speaks with Heather Friedrich.

The unique American music style will be the star of a multifaceted public kickoff event for the upcoming Fort Smith International Film Festival with a special evening featuring the Arkansas premier of the documentary, “The Birth and History of Western Swing” followed by a dance featuring Western Swing RULES this evening beginning 5pm at the Fort Smith Museum of History. KUAF Community SpotlightBuffalo National River Partners, the official Friends group of the Buffalo National River, will be conducting a stilt grass pull in Lost Valley on Saturday, September 9th. Stilt grass is an invasive species native to Asia. It appeared in the U.S. in 1919 and, wherever it grows, it crowds out native plants. Pete speaks with Melinda Caldwell, Board Member of the BNRP.
